About the Company
Super Glitz Pvt. Ltd. is a garment export house established in 2005, manufacturing knits and wovens in ladieswear, kidswear and babywear for international retailers. We operate two in-house units at IMT Manesar and are certified to GOTS, OCS, OEKO-TEX 100, BCI, SEDEX, Lenzing and European Flax standards.
We are a secure, professionally run organization with long-standing buyer relationships and a team that has grown with the company. Decisions are taken quickly, and people who take ownership of their function are given the room to run it.
About the Role
The trims store sits at the centre of our production flow. When it runs well, orders move on schedule; when it does not, the effect is felt immediately across cutting, sewing and finishing.
We are looking for an experienced Trims Store Manager to take full charge of this function across both units: receipt and inspection of incoming trims, organized storage, accurate ERP records, controlled issuance against consumption norms, and documentation that stands up to buyer and certification audits.
This is a role with clear ownership. You will manage your own team, work directly with merchandising, purchase and production, and have direct access to the partners for decisions.
What You Will Be Doing
Receipt and inspection
- Receive incoming trims and accessories against purchase orders and supplier packing lists.
- Check quantity, shade, size, article code and marking against approved trim cards before accepting material.
- Raise Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) in the ERP on the date of receipt.
- Quarantine short-supplied, damaged or rejected material and raise discrepancy reports so claims can be settled promptly.
Storage and preservation
- Maintain a bin and rack location system with unique item coding, so that any trim can be traced to its style and order without delay.
- Follow FIFO across consumables and shade-sensitive items, and keep ageing stock under review.
- Keep certified (GOTS/OCS) and conventional materials physically and documentally segregated.
- Maintain storage conditions, housekeeping, stacking and safety standards within the store area.
ERP and inventory control
- Carry out all store transactions in the ERP — item master, GRN, issue, return, transfer, adjustment and closure.
- Keep system stock reconciled with physical stock,
and investigate and close variances within agreed timelines.
- Monitor minimum stock and re-order levels, and raise indents to purchase in good time.
- Conduct cycle counts and periodic physical verification, and submit reconciled variance statements.
Issuance and consumption
- Issue material against authorized requisitions, cut plans and order quantities.
- Record style-wise and line-wise issuance accurately, and ensure unused material is returned to stock the same day.
- Track actual consumption against the Bill of Materials and report variances with reasons.
- Account for surplus and leftover stock order-wise and identify what can be re-used.
Coordination and order support
- Track trim in-house dates against the Time and Action (TNA) calendar and raise shortages early, while there is still time to act.
- Work closely with merchandising, purchase, production planning, cutting, finishing and quality across both units.
- Confirm trim availability status ahead of pre-production meetings.
- Manage inter-unit material transfers with complete documentation and system entry.
Compliance and documentation
- Maintain store records, registers and traceability documentation in line with GOTS, OCS, OEKO-TEX 100, BCI, SEDEX and Lenzing requirements.
- Maintain input–output records and transaction certificates for certified-fibre programmes.
- Represent the store in buyer, technical, social and certification audits, and close non-conformities within agreed timelines.
- Follow controlled-item procedures for sharps and restricted substances, and applicable safety and statutory requirements.
Team and reporting
- Supervise, roster and develop the store assistants, data entry and material handling staff across both units.
- Put standard operating procedures in place and train the team on ERP transactions and documentation.
- Circulate daily stock and issuance status, and weekly shortage, pending-material and stock-ageing reports to management.
What We Are Looking For
Essential
- Graduate in Commerce, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Apparel Production or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in stores or materials management in a garment manufacturing or export unit, including at least 3 years running a trims and accessories store independently.
- Hands-on working proficiency in an apparel ERP system (WFX, Stage, Datatex, SAP, ERPNext or similar), covering GRN, issue, stock ledger, BOM and reporting.
- Sound knowledge of trims and accessories used in knits and wovens, and of trim cards, approvals and buyer marking requirements.
- Practical experience of inventory control, FIFO, consumption control against BOM and stock reconciliation.
- Experience of supporting buyer, technical and social compliance audits.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including lookups and pivot tables.
- Working English, sufficient to read trim cards and buyer instructions and to prepare internal reports.
- Experience of supervising a store team.
Desirable
- Experience in ladieswear, kidswear or babywear, including children's-wear safety requirements.
- Familiarity with GOTS, OCS, BCI, OEKO-TEX and SEDEX documentation and segregation requirements.
- Experience in a multi-unit operation involving inter-unit transfers.
- Exposure to barcode or scanner-enabled store operations.
If you meet most of these requirements and have run a trims store on your own, we would encourage you to apply.
Skills and Competencies
- Accuracy and attention to detail in stock records and documentation
- Discipline in system usage — every movement recorded, on time
- Planning ability and consistent follow-up
- Adherence to defined processes, and the ability to hold a team to them
- Clear coordination and communication across departments
- Composure and organization during peak production and shipment periods
Key Performance Indicators
- Trim availability against TNA in-house dates, and production stoppages due to shortage
- Variance between physical and ERP stock at each verification
- Timeliness and accuracy of GRN and issue transactions
- Consumption variance against approved BOM
- Ageing and non-moving stock as a percentage of total trim inventory
- Audit non-conformities raised and their closure timelines
- Housekeeping and safety standards within the store
