Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll & Compliance Executive with a proven track record in the Infrastructure/Construction domain. This role requires hands-on expertise in end-to-end payroll processing, statutory compliance, PF & ESI administration, meticulous physical documentation, labour law adherence, and site HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing.
- Verify and process attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, and salary inputs.
- Liaise with the Finance department to ensure timely salary disbursement.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and comprehensive employee data.
- Address and resolve employee payroll-related queries.
PF & ESI Compliance
- Manage all PF & ESI activities, including documentation, filing, and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain PF & ESI-related documents and physical records.
- Oversee PF registration and employee data updates.
- Coordinate ECR (Electronic Challan-cum-Return) preparation and submission.
- Maintain accurate PF challan and payment records.
- Manage ESI employee registration and contribution records.
- Handle ESI challan and filing documentation.
- Maintain organized physical PF & ESI files for audits and inspections.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for PF/ESI offices.
Labour & Statutory Compliance
- Oversee and ensure labour compliance activities for construction sites.
- Maintain all statutory registers and compliance files.
- Manage and verify contractor labour documentation.
- Ensure strict adherence to key labour laws, including:
- Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act
- Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act
- Minimum Wages Act
- Payment of Wages Act
- Provide support during government inspections and audits.
HR Operations
- Manage end-to-end employee joining and exit formalities.
- Maintain comprehensive employee personal files and HR documentation.
- Verify KYC documents and statutory forms for compliance.
- Coordinate effectively with site teams regarding manpower planning and attendance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2-6 years of prior experience within the Infrastructure, Construction, or Real Estate industry is essential.
- Proven proficiency in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Practical, hands-on experience in PF & ESI filing, documentation, and meticulous physical file maintenance.
- Solid understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance, specifically for construction sites.
- Demonstrated experience in managing site workforce and ensuring labour compliance.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of BOCW compliance is highly preferred.
