Monks is looking for a Senior Technical Artist to join our team. This role is primarily focused on automotive shading, including the creation and optimization of vehicle materials and shaders, while supporting pipeline development and artist workflows in Unreal Engine.You will play a key role in creating and maintaining high-quality vehicle materials and shaders while ensuring that art content and features are seamlessly integrated into Unreal Engine. Working closely with artists, developers, and QA,



you will help deliver premium automotive experiences that achieve exceptional visual quality while meeting technical and performance requirements.

Role & Responsibilities
● Create and optimize high-quality automotive materials and shaders for Unreal Engine.
● Develop realistic vehicle materials, including car paint, transparent coat, glass, chrome, leather, and plastics.
● Collaborate with artists to create and integrate high-quality 3D assets into Unreal Engine.
● Review workflows and identify opportunities for tool and pipeline improvements.
● Develop Unreal Engine pipeline tools and extensions to improve artist workflows.
● Troubleshoot technical issues across the Unreal Engine asset pipeline.
● Work closely with artists and QA to resolve production challenges.
● Maintain clear documentation and support the team in adopting best practices.

Requirements
● Strong expertise in Unreal Engine materials, shaders, and Blueprints.
