Job Summary
The Product Engineer is responsible for assisting with the design, analysis, and quoting activity and testing of new products and support in production products with engineering changes or other aspects as required. Working with the Product Designer and sales/manufacturing teams, the Product Engineer identifies and facilitates product features and improvements. He/she reviews product drawings, specifications and prototypes, preparing reports as necessary at each stage of development and reviews product test results. He/she liaises with customers to review and update product status/timing and engineering changes.



He/she ensures product meets and exceeds all customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Product Engineering and Innovation for Injection-Molded, Over molded, Welded, and Sheet Metal products, from concept development through production launch and product sustainment.
Outcome-driven engineer with a strong focus on Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Material Selection, FMEA, APQP, DVP&R; and VAVE.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, schematics and existing products to ensure compliance with customer requirements while identifying opportunities to improve product quality, functionality, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
Develop accurate 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, design layouts, and BOMs using SolidWorks.
Design and detail mechanical components and assemblies ensuring Form, Fit, Function, Manufacturability, and cost effectiveness.
