The primary objective of this role is to manage and execute customized production orders, achieve production targets, and ensure delivery of the required order quantities with the desired quality standards within the committed timelines.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze production plans to achieve production targets within the specified timelines while maintaining the required quality standards.
- Allocate tasks to operators and ensure effective load balancing based on machine availability and production priorities.
- Coordinate with the Stores and Purchase departments to ensure timely availability of raw materials and consumables required for production.
- Ensure component manufacturing is carried out according to approved master drawings and technical specifications.
- Maintain and update daily production records in both physical and digital formats.
- Train and mentor operators, trainees, and apprentices to enhance their technical skills and enable independent working.
- Implement and sustain Safety, QMS, EMS,
and Legrand Way tools on the shop floor, including Hourly Follow-up, Field Tours, DPM, Daily Efficiency Reports, and other operational excellence initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement activities such as Poka-Yoke, Lean Manufacturing initiatives, SGIA, and other productivity improvement programs.
- Monitor rejection levels and maintain them within CNQ targets while implementing corrective actions to reduce costs and improve quality.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with safety standards and motivating employees to achieve a zero-accident workplace.
- Prepare and maintain production-related records, reports, and MIS data on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and ensure smooth operations.
