Medical Officer / Senior Nurse / Nursing In-charge
Job Summary
The ANM Nurse is responsible for providing safe, compassionate and effective basic nursing care to patients under the direction of doctors and senior nursing staff. The nurse will assist in OPD and clinical procedures, monitor patients, administer medications as prescribed, maintain accurate records, follow infection-control practices and support the smooth functioning of PMC clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Care
Receive and attend to patients professionally and courteously.
Assess and record basic patient information and vital signs.
Monitor temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, SpO₂ and blood glucose when required.
Provide basic nursing care and assist patients with their immediate needs.
Observe patients for changes in condition and promptly inform the doctor/senior nurse.
2. Medication & Injections
Administer prescribed oral and injectable medications within the scope of training and applicable regulations.
Perform injections and other nursing procedures as instructed.
Check medication name, dose, route, timing and patient identification before administration.
Maintain proper medication records.
3. Assistance to Doctors
Assist doctors during patient examinations and clinical procedures.
Prepare instruments, equipment and supplies before procedures.
Assist with dressing, wound care, nebulization, ECG, blood glucose testing and other services as directed and within competency.
Ensure the treatment/procedure area is properly prepared after each patient.
4. Emergency Support
Provide immediate basic nursing assistance during emergencies.
Recognize and report deterioration in a patient's condition promptly.
Assist the doctor and senior nursing staff during emergency procedures.
