We are looking for a Social Media & Growth Lead to set the Instagram strategy, identify the strongest stories and angles from our daily editorial output, and direct a small team responsible for editing and posting. The role is expected to remain hands-on shaping hooks, scripts, and final cuts — rather than functioning purely as a reviewer of others' work.

This is a growth-oriented role. Success will be measured on follower growth and engagement, and more importantly, on the extent to which this audience converts into app installs and regular readers of the Bhaskar app.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the Instagram strategy end-to-end: content pillars, posting cadence, format mix (Reels, carousels, Stories), and growth targets.
- Identify clip-worthy and carousel-worthy stories from the day's news quickly, and translate them into a script or edit brief.
- Repackage long-form Bhaskar content — news stories, interviews, podcasts, and ground reportage — into short-form video and carousels that work as standalone pieces, while preserving editorial accuracy and tone.



This includes directing and quality-checking the team's edits, and personally cutting or fixing content when required.
- Lead a small team of 1-2 (editing and posting support): provide daily briefs, set quality standards, and build repeatable formats and templates that allow the team to operate efficiently.
- Build and maintain the mechanisms that convert Instagram followers into app installs — including link-in-bio strategy, app-exclusive content, deep-linked Stories, and related tactics — and track their effectiveness.
- Manage day-to-day account operations: community management, trend monitoring, and collaboration with creators or other Bhaskar handles where relevant.
- Report on performance weekly, tracking saves, shares, completion rate, and social-attributed app installs as primary metrics, rather than follower count or likes alone.
