Job Summary:
This role is part of the site Order Engineering team responsible for preparing schedules, aligning engineering resources, and completing technical activities related to fulfilling customer orders. Additional responsibilities include quotation support, routine engineering analysis, detailed layout/mechanical design, and operations support ( i.e. manufacturing, supply chain, quality, warranty).
The incumbent reports to the Order Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Support proposal activities include conducting pre-engineering work, to determine technical scope, risk analysis and/or make equipment selection outside of eCPQ.
- Review project specifications from the order transfer file.
- Perform detailed layout and mechanical design including conducting routine engineering analysis, design calculation and simulation.
- Provide primary customer interface / support to other internal functions, providing technical guidance to clarify project requirements.
- Coordinate Order Engineering resources and direct activities in multiple projects.
- Provide technical support to supply chain including review vendor and buyout drawings.
