Job Purpose:

Tobe a part of the core legal department.

Providelegal advice and assistance to all verticals of the business in India.

Draftingand negotiating legal agreements and documents.

Workclosely with cross-functional teams to align to the project timelines.

Highlight legal risks.

Key Deliverables (Essential functions & Responsibilities of theJob) :

Reviewing,drafting, and negotiating a broad range of agreements, vendor contracts,warehousing, IT, appointment contracts, services agreements, procurement,subcontracts, indemnity bonds, confidentiality agreements and consultancyagreements.

GeneralLegal Advice - Reviewing of marketing material, Terms of Use, policiesincluding for online business, SOPs, terms of various promotions and contests.

Handlinglitigation, liaising with outside counsels for the same and providingsupporting documents from internal stakeholders.

RegulatoryGovernance - Updating business of changes in applicable laws and ensuringimplementation of required changes.

Ensuringlegal compliance under all applicable law including, companies Act, legalmetrology, FDI, E-commerce, drugs and cosmetics, BIS and environmental laws.

Supportingbusiness on special projects.

Preparingand maintaining various MIS/trackers.

Supportingfunctional automation projects and contract lifecycle management of legaldocuments.

Workclosely with the business, and other corporate functions, on a daily basis,



inunderstanding the business & commercial requirements when considering legalterms & conditions.

Supporting business for providing options onagreements and statutory provisions.

Tracking statutory changes and implementation of newlaws.

Responsible for Replying to notices and/or drafting ofnotices to vendors, developers, statutory authorities and customer.

Key Skills:

Possess a very good understanding ofcommercial and contract terms

Possess a good understanding of thecompliance issues facing international listed companies

Maintain a creative and pragmatic approach toproblem-solving.

Be able to work as part of a team, but alsoable to work independently and take the lead when necessary

Prioritise valuable client relations andflexibility.

Be well-organized, hard-working and able tomeet challenging deadlines

Possess excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills.

Preferred Qualification:

Should be registered to practice law inIndia, with at least 8-10 years PQE.

Experience as in-house counsel inretail/similar industry or law firm preferred.

Be fluent in reading, writing andcommunicating in English.
