Job SummaryWe are looking for a Purchase Engineer to join our manufacturing team at Changodar, Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate should have a technical understanding of mechanical components/materials along with good communication, vendor coordination and negotiation skills.

Freshers and candidates with 0–2 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement in a manufacturing or engineering company are encouraged to apply.

- Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, develop and coordinate with new and existing vendors.
- Source raw materials, mechanical components, consumables, tools and other engineering items.
- Send RFQs (Request for Quotations) to vendors and collect quotations.
- Prepare quotation comparison statements based on price, quality, specifications and delivery.
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding price, payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Planning and Accounts departments.




- Ensure availability of materials as per production requirements.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor database, quotations and PO documentation.
- Assist in vendor evaluation and development of alternate suppliers.
- Support cost reduction and improve procurement efficiency.
- Resolve material shortages, delivery delays and supplier-related issues.
- Maintain MIS reports and purchase-related data using MS Excel/ERP.
- Required SkillsBasic knowledge of mechanical components, raw materials and manufacturing processes.
- Valuable communication and vendor coordination skills.
- Basic negotiation and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Purchase/Procurement procedures.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of ERP/SAP/Tally will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work with multiple departments and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and build a career in Purchase & Procurement.
