Job Summary:

The Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a specific department within a retail store. This includes managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining inventory, and meeting sales targets. The role demands strong leadership skills, retail knowledge, and a focus on achieving business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Staff Supervision:
- Recruit, train, schedule, and manage department staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
- Foster a positive and productive team environment
- Customer Service:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns
- Support staff in handling complex customer interactions
- Sales & Targets:
- Monitor and drive department sales performance
- Implement promotional strategies and merchandising plans
- Analyze sales data and report to store management




- Inventory Management:
- Maintain stock levels through accurate ordering and replenishment
- Manage inventory to minimize shrinkage and waste
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits
- Visual Merchandising:
- Ensure displays are appealing and aligned with brand standards
- Coordinate seasonal or promotional changes within the department
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the department
- Comply with company policies and procedures

Qualifications & Skills:

- Proven experience in a retail supervisory or management role
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Proficiency in using retail management systems and MS Office
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
