About the Role

Realtime Biometrics India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Senior ASP.NET Developer with robust knowledge of ASP.NET, VB.NET, .NET Framework, and SQL Server to join our software development team.

The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting web-based applications and software solutions related to our biometric attendance, access control, and workforce management products.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications using ASP.NET and VB.NET.

Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET Web Forms / MVC.

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable VB.NET/C# code.

Work extensively with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, queries, stored procedures, functions, and optimization.

Integrate software applications with biometric devices, APIs, and third-party systems.

Develop and maintain REST APIs and web services.

Debug and resolve application issues, performance problems, and production bugs.

Understand existing legacy applications and improve their functionality and performance.

Perform code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment.

Work closely with the R&D;, Software, Hardware, Cloud, and Support teams.

Understand customer requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

Maintain technical documentation for applications and APIs.

Ensure application security, reliability, scalability, and performance.

Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers.

Required Technical Skills

Must Have

Strong hands-on experience in ASP.NET.

Excellent knowledge of VB.NET.





Strong knowledge of .NET Framework.

Good experience with ASP.NET Web Forms and/or MVC.

Strong knowledge of SQL Server.

Excellent knowledge of SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Functions, Joins, Views, and database optimization.

Experience in developing and consuming APIs/Web Services.

Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.

Knowledge of application debugging and performance optimization.

Experience working with existing/legacy ASP.NET applications.

Good to Have

Knowledge of C#.

Experience with .NET Core / ASP.NET Core.

Knowledge of REST API, JSON, XML, and third-party API integration.

Experience with Git or other version-control systems.

Knowledge of IIS and Windows Server.

Experience integrating applications with biometric/access-control devices.

Knowledge of cloud-based applications and services.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.

4–8+ years of relevant software development experience.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to understand existing code and independently troubleshoot technical issues.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

Has strong practical knowledge of VB.NET and ASP.NET.

Can independently handle development, debugging, and maintenance.

Is comfortable working with legacy as well as new applications.

Has strong SQL/database knowledge.

Can take ownership of assigned projects and deliver them within timelines.

Has experience working on business applications, attendance systems, ERP, HRMS, biometric, or similar software products.
