Position: AutoCAD Designer / Draftsman

About the RoleRESOURCE is looking for a skilled and practical AutoCAD Designer who can prepare accurate 2D drawings, layouts, working drawings, and technical plans for events, exhibitions, government functions, conferences, and large-scale temporary event infrastructure.

The candidate should understand actual site execution requirements, not just drafting, and should be capable of converting concepts, site measurements, client requirements, and hand sketches into clear drawings that can be easily understood by project managers, vendors, fabricators, and site teams.

- Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed 2D AutoCAD layouts and working drawings for events and exhibitions.
- Prepare complete event master plans/site layouts, including:

- Stage and backstage areas
- Exhibition stalls and pavilions
- Aluminium hangars / German structures
- Pagodas and temporary structures
- Entry gates and façades
- VIP lounges and green rooms
- Registration and reception areas
- Dining and food court areas
- Seating layouts
- Barricading and fencing
- Parking and vehicle movement
- Pedestrian circulation
- Electrical/DG locations
- Toilets and utility areas
- Emergency exits and fire-safety access
- Branding and signage locations
- Prepare dimensioned working drawings for fabrication and site execution.
- Develop drawings from site measurements, sketches, photographs, PDFs and client briefs.
- Revise drawings quickly according to client and management feedback.
- Prepare area calculations,



quantities and basic BOQ inputs from drawings.
- Coordinate with project managers, production teams, vendors, structural teams, electrical teams and site supervisors.
- Maintain proper drawing versions and organized project files.
- Visit event sites whenever required for measurement, verification and execution coordination.
- Ensure drawings are practical, accurate and executable within project timelines.
- Prepare presentation-quality layouts for submission to corporate and government clients.
- Coordinate with 3D designers by providing accurate plans, elevations and dimensions for visualization.
- Required SkillsStrong command of AutoCAD 2D
- Excellent understanding of dimensions, scale, layers, blocks, annotations and plotting
- Ability to prepare professional plans, elevations, sections and detail drawings
- Good understanding of event/exhibition layouts and temporary structures
- Ability to calculate areas and quantities from drawings
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic MS Office
- Knowledge of SketchUp / 3ds Max / Revit / Photoshop will be an added advantage
- Understanding of basic civil, electrical and structural drawings will be preferred
- Ability to read architectural drawings and site plans
- Preferred Candidate ProfileDiploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design,



Mechanical Drafting or related field
- 2–5 years of AutoCAD experience preferred
- Previous experience in event management, exhibitions, architecture, interiors, fabrication, PEB/hangar structures or temporary infrastructure will be highly preferred
- Should be comfortable working on large-scale event layouts
- Should be willing to visit sites and travel when projects require
- Should be comfortable working under tight deadlines, particularly during event execution periods
- Must have positive coordination and communication skills

The candidate should not only know how to make attractive drawings but should understand questions such as:

Can this actually be fabricated? Can it be installed at site? Is there enough movement space? Are dimensions correct? Can trucks and equipment access the area? Are emergency and service passages maintained?

Accuracy, speed and practical thinking are extremely important for this position.
