About the Role

RioSH Technologies is looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in designing enclosures and mechanical parts for electronic products.

The candidate will work closely with our hardware, PCB, firmware, and manufacturing teams to develop mechanical designs from initial concept through prototyping and production.

Key Responsibilities

Design mechanical enclosures and components for electronic products.

Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.

Work with Creo or SolidWorks for product and enclosure design.

Design plastic, sheet-metal, and machined components based on product requirements.

Work closely with PCB designers to define PCB dimensions, mounting locations, connectors, switches, displays, LEDs, antennas, and other mechanical interfaces.

Perform tolerance analysis and ensure proper mechanical fitment of PCBs and components.

Design products considering DFM and DFA requirements.

Develop designs suitable for injection molding, CNC machining, sheet-metal fabrication, and 3D printing.

Select suitable materials based on strength, temperature, environmental conditions, manufacturability, and cost.

Prepare prototypes and coordinate with vendors for fabrication.

Perform mechanical fitment, assembly, and design validation.

Identify mechanical issues during prototype testing and implement design improvements.

Prepare BOMs and complete manufacturing documentation.

Support the production team during pilot builds and mass production.

Coordinate with tooling, molding, machining, and fabrication vendors when required.

Required Skills





Strong expertise in Creo and/or SolidWorks.

Good knowledge of 3D modelling, assemblies, and engineering drawings.

Experience in electronic product enclosure design is highly preferred.

Good understanding of plastic part design and injection molding.

Knowledge of sheet-metal and CNC component design.

Understanding of GD&T;, tolerances, fits, and manufacturing processes.

Experience with rapid prototyping and 3D printing.

Ability to convert product requirements and concepts into production-ready mechanical designs.

Good problem-solving and design optimization skills.

Understanding of IP ratings, thermal considerations, and mechanical protection for electronic products is an advantage.

Qualification

Education: BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Experience: 0–5 years of relevant mechanical product design experience preferred.

Candidates with solid hands-on product design skills and a good portfolio may also be considered based on their capabilities.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the mechanical design of a product, starting from the initial concept and PCB integration through prototyping, design iterations, manufacturing drawings, and production readiness.

The role requires a practical engineering mindset with a strong understanding of how mechanical design decisions impact electronics integration, manufacturing cost, assembly, reliability, and final product quality.
