Schedule: Monday – Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays

Hourly Rate: $30.00/hour

Weekend Differential: $4.00/hour

On-Call: Based on case load; additional hours may constitute overtime

Job Summary

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist – X-Ray to provide mobile diagnostic imaging services to patients in a variety of healthcare settings, including skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, correctional facilities, and other assigned locations.

The Radiologic Technologist will operate portable X-ray equipment, obtain high-quality diagnostic images, and transmit studies to radiologists for interpretation. The technologist may also perform EKGs as needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform and process X-ray examinations using portable Digital Radiography (DR) or Computed Radiography (CR) equipment.
- Transport, unload, and set up portable X-ray equipment at various healthcare facilities and patient locations.
- Obtain clinically diagnostic and technically accurate X-ray images as ordered by physicians.
- Transmit completed X-ray studies to radiologists for interpretation.
- Perform EKGs when required and transmit results to cardiologists for interpretation.
- Complete and scan exam-related paperwork and billing documentation according to established protocols.
- Maintain regular communication with dispatch, management, healthcare staff, and clients.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, peers, supervisors, and facility personnel.
- Maintain assigned vehicle and portable X-ray equipment in proper working condition.
- Follow all applicable safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Travel to various assigned locations to provide mobile diagnostic services.

Work Environment The technologist may provide services in multiple settings, including:




- Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs)
- Nursing Homes
- Home Health
- Correctional Facilities / Prisons / Jails
- Healthcare Facilities
- Other assigned patient-care locations

Physical Requirements
- Ability to push and pull portable X-ray equipment weighing approximately 50–100 lbs.
- Vehicle ramps and pulley systems may be used to assist with equipment transportation.
- When moving equipment inside facilities or homes, the required force may increase.
- The position may require exerting 50 lbs. or more of force approximately 16–24 times per day .
- Must be able to safely transport and operate portable diagnostic equipment.

Required Qualifications
- ARRT Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT:R.T.) – Required
- Active and valid South Carolina Radiologic Technologist license – Required
- Must maintain all required state licenses, ARRT certification, health requirements, and operational requirements.
- Valid driver's license in the applicable state with a good driving record – Required
- Limited Radiologic Technologist licenses are not accepted.
- Compact license may be accepted where applicable.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required; individuals requesting an exemption must provide appropriate supporting documentation.

Compensation
- $30.00/hour
- $4.00/hour weekend shift differential
- Overtime may be available based on workload/case volume.
- Same-day pay advances may be available and will be discussed during the interview.
