Windows Application Support Engineer (4–5 Years Experience)

- Role Overview

- We are looking for a Windows Application Support Engineer to support a critical third-party Windows-based application platform. The role involves application support, server administration, monitoring, automation, patching, upgrades, and operational support across a large enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Support and maintain Windows-based applications across Production, DR, and non-production environments.

- Perform application upgrades, application patching, and release deployments.

- Troubleshoot application, server, and performance-related issues.

- Monitor and support 350+ Windows servers, including application availability, CPU, memory, disk space, and service health.

- Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell scripting.

- Support automation workflows using Ansible AWX (preferred).

- Utilize Grafana for monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility (preferred).

- Manage software installations, Windows services, and file/folder permissions.

- Participate in incidents, problems,



and change management activities.

- Create and maintain support documentation and operational runbooks.

Required Skills

- 4–5 years of experience in Windows Application Support.

- Solid Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills.

- Experience with:

- Application support in production environments

- Software installation and upgrades

- NTFS file/folder permissions

- Server performance monitoring

- Incident and change management

- PowerShell scripting and automation

- Basic Linux administration knowledge.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

- Ansible AWX / Ansible Automation Platform.

- Grafana monitoring and alerting.

- SRE / Production Engineering experience.

- Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud environments.

Support Requirements

- Participate in weekend on-call rotation.

- Work closely with global teams to ensure platform stability and operational excellence.
