Vankayala Nagaraja Chetty Grandson India Private Limited (VNCGIPL) is looking for a capable HR & People Operations professional to join our growing corporate group and help build our HR, people, employment compliance and workforce management framework from the ground up.

This is a foundational role covering HR Operations, Recruitment, Employee Lifecycle, Employment Policies, Payroll Coordination, Labour & Employment Compliance, PF/ESI, Employee Records, Employee Relations and People Development .

Key Responsibilities

- Manage recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, transfers and offboarding.
- Maintain complete employee master records and personnel files.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, SOPs, employee handbooks and workplace guidelines.
- Develop and maintain HR policies in coordination with the Legal, CS and CA teams , ensuring alignment with applicable employment and labour requirements.
- Coordinate employment contracts and HR documentation with the Legal team.
- Manage attendance, leave, working hours and employee records.
- Coordinate payroll processing with Finance and CA.
- Coordinate and monitor applicable PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Gratuity, payroll-related and other employment compliances , in coordination with the CA, CS and Legal teams.
- Maintain statutory HR records and compliance documentation.
- Track applicable labour and employment law requirements and regulatory changes.
- Coordinate with CA, CS and Legal Counsel on HR and employment compliance matters.
- Support POSH and workplace conduct requirements , including appropriate documentation and awareness processes.
- Establish employee grievance and disciplinary procedures.
- Support performance management, training and employee development.
- Maintain employee asset and access records in coordination with IT.
- Manage employee communication and HR administration.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, payroll and company information.
- Support HR audits and inspections where applicable.
- Develop and maintain a centralized HR Compliance Calendar .
- Help establish standardized HR systems and processes across VNCGIPL and its subsidiaries.





What We’re Looking For

- Graduate / Postgraduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Relations or a related field .
- Relevant experience in HR & People Operations.
- Good practical understanding of Indian employment and labour requirements .
- Working knowledge of PF, ESI, Skilled Tax, Gratuity, payroll and related statutory requirements .
- Experience developing or implementing HR policies and SOPs.
- Strong understanding of employee lifecycle management.
- Experience coordinating payroll and statutory HR compliance.
- Strong documentation and record-management skills.
- Ability to identify HR and employment compliance risks.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
- High integrity, confidentiality and professional judgment.
- Ability to build HR systems and processes from the ground up.
- Comfortable working directly with the Founder and leadership team.
