About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Web Developer / Web Designer who can take complete ownership of website development, design, UI/UX, optimization, troubleshooting, and technical solutions.

The candidate will work in a client-facing role, understanding business requirements and converting them into high-quality, responsive, user-friendly, and performance-driven websites and landing pages.

The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable with designing, developing, debugging, optimizing, and solving critical website-related problems. The role requires hands-on expertise across UI/UX, Front-End, Back-End, CMS platforms, website performance, landing pages, and technical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Website Design & Development

Design and develop professional, modern, responsive, and user-friendly websites. Translate business and client requirements into functional web solutions.

Handle the complete website development lifecycle—from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance.

Develop websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap/Tailwind CSS, and relevant modern technologies.

Ensure websites are scalable, maintainable, secure, and optimized for performance.

1. Client-Facing Website Solutions

Interact directly with clients/stakeholders to understand website requirements and business objectives. Recommend appropriate website structures, features, technologies, and solutions.

Explain technical issues and proposed solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Manage website changes, revisions, feedback, and technical requirements.

Take ownership of issues until the final solution is implemented and accepted.

1. UI/UX Design & Optimization

Create intuitive, visually appealing, and conversion-focused website interfaces. Develop website layouts, navigation structures, user journeys, and page designs.

Improve existing websites based on usability, engagement, and conversion requirements.

Work on UI/UX wireframes, page structures, visual hierarchy, CTAs, forms, and user flows.

Ensure consistency in branding, typography, spacing, imagery, and overall visual experience.

1. Landing Page Development

Design and develop high-converting landing pages for:

Admissions

Marketing campaigns

Lead generation

Events

Products and services

Digital marketing campaigns

Optimize landing pages for speed, responsiveness, SEO, lead generation, and conversion.

Implement forms, CTAs, tracking codes, analytics, pixels, and third-party integrations where required.

Quickly troubleshoot and resolve landing-page issues during active campaigns.

1. Front-End Development

Develop responsive front-end interfaces using:

HTML5

CSS3

JavaScript

Bootstrap / Tailwind CSS

Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.

Optimize website loading speed, responsiveness, and front-end performance.

Implement animations,



interactive elements, forms, menus, sliders, and other UI components.

1. Back-End Development & Integration

Work on back-end development and integrations as required. Troubleshoot server-side and database-related issues.

Work with PHP, Node.js, Python, or other relevant technologies.

Handle APIs, forms, database connectivity, third-party integrations, and website functionality.

Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

1. WordPress & Wix – Mandatory

Strong hands-on experience with WordPress and Wix is mandatory. Create, customize, and maintain WordPress/Wix websites.

Customize themes, templates, plugins, widgets, forms, menus, and website components.

Identify and resolve WordPress/Wix performance and functionality issues.

Manage plugin updates, compatibility issues, backups, and website maintenance.

Ability to customize websites beyond standard templates is highly preferred.

1. Bug Fixing & Critical Problem Solving

Identify, diagnose, and resolve website bugs and technical issues.

Investigate root causes rather than applying temporary fixes.

Handle urgent website issues affecting business operations, campaigns, admissions, or lead generation.

1. Website Performance & SEO

Optimize websites for speed, Core Web Vitals, responsiveness, and performance. Implement basic technical SEO best practices.

Ensure proper page structure, metadata, URLs, headings, image optimization, and mobile responsiveness.

Coordinate with digital marketing teams for SEO and campaign requirements.

1. Security & Maintenance

Maintain website security and implement appropriate security practices. Regularly update CMS platforms, plugins, themes, libraries, and dependencies.

Monitor websites for technical issues, downtime, vulnerabilities, and performance problems.

Maintain backups and support website recovery when required.

Qualification & Experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.

Experience

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Web Development / Web Design.

Candidates with experience handling client-facing website projects, multiple websites, digital marketing campaigns, landing pages, and critical technical troubleshooting will be preferred.
