Key Responsibilities

- Manage overall day-to-day activities of the godown/warehouse.
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, quality, and documentation.
- Ensure proper stacking, storage, labeling, and identification of materials.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory registers.
- Monitor inward and outward movement of goods.
- Prepare and verify material issue, delivery, and dispatch documents.
- Coordinate with the sales, purchase, accounts, and delivery teams.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile differences.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable.
- Minimize stock damage, shortage, wastage, and material loss.
- Supervise warehouse helpers, loaders, and other warehouse staff.
- Allocate daily work and monitor staff productivity.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and safety within the godown.
- Maintain records of damaged, returned, excess, and shortage materials.
- Ensure timely dispatch of materials as per approved orders/instructions.
- Report stock discrepancies and operational issues to management immediately.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and warehouse procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and stock verification.





Required Skills

- Good knowledge of warehouse and inventory management.
- Basic computer knowledge; knowledge of MS Excel and inventory software is preferred.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to supervise and manage warehouse staff.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet dispatch deadlines.
- Honest, disciplined, and responsible attitude.

EXPERIENCE 2–5 years of relevant experience in warehouse/godown operations.

- Experience in a trading, distribution, or manufacturing company will be an advantage.
