Responsibilities
Install electric meters and associated mechanical devices, ensuring accurate functionality and adherence to industry standards.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electric meters, gas regulators, and thermostats to ensure optimal performance.
Perform inspections and tests on installed devices to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
Diagnose issues with electric meters and related systems, providing effective solutions to restore functionality.
Document all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
Collaborate with utility companies and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient service delivery and installation processes.
Stay updated with the latest industry practices, technologies, and regulations related to electric meter installation and maintenance.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding electric meter operations.
Preferred candidate profile
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical or mechanical systems preferred.
Proven experience as an electric meter installer or in a similar role within the utility industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical devices, and safety standards.
Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electric meters and related devices.
Valid drivers license and ability to travel to various job sites as required.
