Key Responsibilities
- Collect samples from customers/patients and perform rapid testing as needed.
- Maintain specimen integrity by using aseptic techniques and following SOPs.
- Accurately identify patients and verify their identity documents.
- Perform venipuncture or finger-stick procedures to extract blood.
- Use the correct testing equipment to analyze samples when required.
- Label vials accurately and match blood specimens to the correct patients.
- Prepare and package specimens for secure transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of patient data, specimen volume, and test results.
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly.
- Ensure proper tagging and documentation as per medical requisition forms.
- Follow bio hazard and waste management protocols diligently.
What Were Looking For Experience: 1 to 5 years in phlebotomy and related functions.
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in blood collection and sample handling
- Understanding of diagnostic testing protocols and specimen packaging
- Knowledge of biomedical waste management practices
- Ability to handle patients with empathy and professionalism
- Familiarity with basic computer operations
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Education: DMLT / BMLT / MLT
