Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
We are looking for a hands-on Engineer to support daily CNC and VMC machining operations.
The candidate should have practical knowledge of machine setup, changeovers, tooling, offsets and minor CNC program modifications. This position will act as the first line of technical support on the shop floor and guide CNC/VMC operators across shifts.
The role does not require complex CNC programming from scratch, but basic CNC/G-code knowledge and the ability to make minor program modifications are expected.
Key Responsibilities
Machine & Process Support
- Handle setup and changeovers for CNC and VMC machines.
- Perform tool selection, tool changes and tool offset setting.
- Monitor tool wear and take necessary action.
- Make minor CNC program modifications, including offsets, feed/speed adjustments and sequence edits.
• Support prove-out during new part introduction under guidance of the senior team.
Shop Floor Operations
- Oversee approximately 4 CNC/VMC machines and guide assigned operators.
- Ensure adherence to process sheets, control plans and setup instructions.
- Monitor cycle time, part quality and machine utilization.
• Identify and escalate machine, tooling and quality issues proactively.
Quality & Discipline
- Ensure first-piece and in-process inspection compliance.
- Support rejection analysis and corrective actions on the shop floor.
- Maintain 5S, safety and discipline around machines.
• Ensure proper production documentation and traceability.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Production Manager for daily production targets and priorities.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for machine breakdowns and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper shift handover with transparent machine and job status updates.
