Role Description The Video Editor role at Doon Global School is a full-time, on-site position based in Dehradun.

The Video

Editor will handle end-to-end video production for school events, academic content, promotional materials, and social media. Day-to-day tasks include organizing raw footage, editing and assembling video content, applying color grading, creating motion graphics and visual elements, and ensuring alignment with the school’s brand and communication goals. The role involves collaborating with teachers, administration, and the communications team to plan shoots, refine storylines, and deliver engaging, student-centric media.

Editor will also manage file organization, backups, and basic equipment handling to support smooth production workflows.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Video Production, including planning shoots, capturing footage, and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Editing to assemble clips, add audio, and create polished narratives using professional editing software.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to enhance visual quality, maintain consistency, and match the desired mood and style.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to design titles, lower thirds, transitions, and visual assets for digital content.
- Strong visual storytelling ability, attention to detail, and a portfolio demonstrating relevant work in education or creative media.
- Proficiency with common video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent), and basic audio editing skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with educators and staff in a school environment.
- Relevant diploma or degree in film, media, communication, design, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in academic or institutional settings is an advantage.
