The Opportunity

We are looking for a Video Editor who can think beyond assembling footage.

This role is for someone who understands how narrative, pacing, visuals, music, sound and motion come together to communicate an idea. The ideal candidate should be able to interpret a strategic or creative brief, identify the central story, and shape raw material into clear, engaging, purposeful films.

The candidate should have up to 2 years of experience in a production house, creative agency, digital studio, branding agency, or corporate communications environment.

This is a full-time, Kolkata-based chance.

Scope of Work The candidate will work across strategic video and communication assignments, including:

- Corporate and brand films
- Campaign and product films
- Customer stories and case-study videos
- Employer branding and employee communication films
- Event, launch and experience videos
- Leadership messages and interview-based films
- Explainer and thought-leadership videos
- Social media reels and short-form content
- Presentation and screen-based motion content
- Motion graphics, titles and on-screen supers




- Video adaptations for different platforms and formats
- Editing footage, stock visuals, animation, music and voiceovers into cohesive stories

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and narrative structure
- Ability to interpret scripts, storyboards and creative briefs
- Good sense of pacing, rhythm, composition and visual continuity
- Ability to select the right footage, music and transitions for the story
- Understanding of sound design, audio balancing and voiceover integration
- Working knowledge of colour correction and colour grading
- Ability to create clean titles, supers and basic motion graphics
- Ability to edit for long-form, short-form and platform-specific formats
- Attention to detail, consistency and brand guidelines
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work within timelines
- Comfort with independent editing and collaborative creative development
- A portfolio or showreel that demonstrates storytelling ability and editing craft

Software Skills

- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Audition
- DaVinci Resolve
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator

Knowledge of 3D animation, AI-assisted video tools, video compression, format optimisation and presentation design will be an added advantage.
