The Video Editor role at Bigfoot Productions is a full time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The role involves editing raw footage into polished, engaging videos for commercials, digital films, brand films, and corporate films, while ensuring the final output aligns with the project brief and creative direction.

The editor will be responsible for organizing and managing footage, selecting and assembling shots, creating strong edits, working with sound and music, adding transitions and visual effects, and collaborating closely with directors, producers, cinematographers, and the wider creative team.

The role also requires a strong working knowledge of AI-powered editing and content creation tools , and the ability to incorporate AI into the post-production workflow wherever it can improve the quality, efficiency, or creative output of a project.

A good understanding of motion graphics and animation is also essential.



The candidate should be comfortable creating and integrating titles, typography, transitions, lower thirds, graphic elements, animated compositions, and other visual effects into their edits. They should be able to handle a decent level of motion graphics independently, rather than relying entirely on a separate motion graphics artist.

The editor will also be responsible for basic to advanced color correction and color grading , maintaining a consistent visual language across projects, working with sound design, voice-overs and music, and preparing final deliverables in the required formats and resolutions.

The ideal candidate should have a strong visual sense, understand storytelling and pacing, stay updated with evolving editing, AI, motion graphics and post-production techniques, manage multiple timelines efficiently, and consistently deliver high-quality work within deadlines.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Video Editing and Post-Production , with experience working on commercials, digital films, brand films, corporate films, or similar content.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, editing rhythm, pacing, composition, and narrative structure .
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro,



DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro .
- Strong working knowledge of AI-powered video and image tools and the ability to integrate AI into the editing and post-production workflow.
- Positive understanding of Motion Graphics and Animation , with the ability to independently create and integrate titles, typography, lower thirds, transitions, graphic elements, and animated compositions.
- Experience with tools such as Adobe After Effects is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Color Correction and Color Grading , with an understanding of creating and maintaining consistent visual looks.
- Understanding of sound design and audio editing , including dialogue, voice-overs, music, sound effects, and basic audio mixing.
- Ability to work with visual effects, compositing, masking, tracking, and basic VFX workflows .
- Strong attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics, design, composition, and visual quality.
- Ability to collaborate closely with directors, producers, cinematographers, designers, and creative teams , take feedback constructively, and translate creative direction into strong final outputs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight production and post-production deadlines.
- A strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating editing, motion graphics, animation, and commercial work is essential.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, visual communication, animation, or a related field is beneficial, but practical experience and a strong showreel will be given greater importance .
