About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished and commercially driven Vice President – Artist Management to lead and scale the Artist Management vertical. The role will be responsible for developing and executing the overall artist management strategy, building and maintaining relationships with artists and their teams, driving commercial opportunities, and ensuring long-term growth of the artist roster.
The ideal candidate should have strong industry relationships, deep understanding of the Indian music and entertainment ecosystem, excellent commercial acumen, and proven experience in managing artists, talent, brands, live events, partnerships, and entertainment businesses.
Key Responsibilities
1. Artist Management & Strategy
- Develop and implement the overall strategy for the Artist Management business.
- Identify, acquire, onboard, and develop high-potential artists and talent.
- Build long-term career strategies and growth plans for managed artists.
- Oversee artist positioning, branding, public image, content strategy, and market presence.
- Ensure high-quality execution of all artist management activities.
- Act as a senior strategic advisor to artists and their teams.
2. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Drive revenue growth across the Artist Management vertical.
- Develop new commercial opportunities through brand partnerships, endorsements, live performances, digital collaborations, appearances, events, and other monetization opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with brands, agencies, labels, event companies, promoters, media houses, OTT platforms, and other industry stakeholders.
- Lead high-value commercial negotiations and close strategic deals.
- Identify emerging business opportunities and new revenue streams.
3. Artist Acquisition & Roster Building
- Build a strong and commercially viable artist roster aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Scout emerging and established artists across music and entertainment.
- Evaluate artists based on market potential, commercial viability, audience strength, brand fit, and long-term growth prospects.
- Negotiate management agreements, commercial terms, exclusivity, commissions, and other contractual arrangements in coordination with the Legal team.
4. Industry & Relationship Management
- Establish strong relationships with leading artists, managers, producers, music labels, brands, agencies, promoters, event organizers, media, and entertainment professionals.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, showcases, concerts, and networking forums.
- Maintain strong market intelligence regarding artist trends, audience behavior, emerging talent, and industry developments.
5. Brand Partnerships & Endorsements
- Develop and execute strategic brand partnership opportunities for artists.
- Work closely with Brand Solutions and Sales teams to create integrated artist-brand opportunities.
- Ensure brand partnerships are commercially attractive while maintaining the artist’s positioning and long-term value.
- Lead negotiations for major endorsement and collaboration opportunities.
6. Live Events & Performance Opportunities
- Drive opportunities for artists across concerts, festivals, tours, corporate events, college festivals, award shows, and other live formats.
- Collaborate with internal Events and Production teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Monitor artist performance schedules, commercial commitments, and deliverables.
- Build relationships with promoters, event organizers, venues, and booking agencies.
7. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Artist Management team.
- Set departmental goals, KRAs, KPIs, and revenue targets.
- Establish efficient processes for artist servicing, deal management, reporting, and execution.
- Review team performance and ensure accountability against business objectives.
- Build a high-performance culture within the vertical.
8. Financial & Commercial Management
- Own the P&L; and financial performance of the Artist Management vertical.
- Prepare annual and quarterly business plans, revenue forecasts, and budgets.
- Track revenue, margins, artist-wise profitability, and business performance.
- Ensure commercial decisions are aligned with organizational profitability and growth objectives.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Content Distribution, Brand Solutions, Marketing, PR, Events, Production, Legal, Finance, and Digital teams to maximize artist opportunities.
- Create integrated campaigns and business opportunities across the company’s entertainment ecosystem.
- Ensure effective coordination between internal teams and external artist stakeholders.
10. Leadership & Organizational Contribution
- Contribute to the company’s overall strategic planning and business growth.
- Represent Artist Management at the leadership level.
- Provide management with regular updates on business performance, pipeline, opportunities, risks, and market trends.
- Support expansion into new markets, talent categories, and entertainment opportunities.

Candidate Profile
- 12+ years of relevant experience in Artist Management, Music, Entertainment, Talent Management, Live Events, Media, or related industries.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the entertainment ecosystem.
- Strong network across artists, artist managers, brands, agencies, labels, promoters, and entertainment stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and growing artist portfolios.
- Solid commercial and negotiation skills.
- Excellent understanding of artist branding, music business, live entertainment, and digital platforms.
- Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining closely involved in key business opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on revenue generation and business growth.
