Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Vendor Manager to manage vendor relationships, coordinate with transporters and logistics partners, negotiate rates, and ensure smooth and timely movement of shipments.

Key Responsibilities:-

Manage and maintain robust relationships with transporters, vendors, and logistics partners.

Coordinate with vendors for vehicle placement, shipment movement, pickup and delivery schedules.

Negotiate freight rates, service charges, and commercial terms with vendors.

Source and onboard new vendors/transporters as per business requirements.

Monitor vendor performance, service quality, delivery timelines, and compliance.

Track shipments and coordinate with vendors to resolve delays or operational issues.

Verify vendor bills, freight invoices, PODs, and other logistics-related documents.

Maintain accurate vendor records, rate contracts, and performance reports.

Handle vendor complaints, payment-related queries,



and service escalations.

Prepare MIS reports related to vendor performance, costs, and shipments.

Coordinate with the operations, warehouse, accounts, and customer service teams.

Ensure vendors follow company policies, SOPs, and agreed service standards.

Required Skills:-

Good communication and negotiation skills.

Strong vendor coordination and follow-up skills.

Good knowledge of logistics, transportation, and supply-chain operations.

Proficiency in MS Excel and basic MIS reporting.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Ability to manage multiple vendors and tasks simultaneously.

Good understanding of freight rates and transportation processes.

Eligibility:-

Graduate in any discipline; logistics/supply-chain qualification will be an advantage.

2–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, vendor management, or supply chain.

Candidates with prior experience in a logistics/transport company will be preferred.
