If you are hiring for a Vendor Development Engineer – Procurement &

- Purchase, specifically for electronic/electrical component purchasing,

Responsibilities:

- Identify, evaluate and develop new vendors for electronic, electrical and mechanical components.

- Handle end-to-end procurement of components such as ICs, semiconductors, resistors, capacitors, connectors, relays, SMPS, displays, sensors, PCB components, cables and other electronic parts.

- Develop alternate sources for critical and high-value components.

- Negotiate price, MOQ, lead time, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.

- Obtain and compare quotations and prepare comparative statements.

- Coordinate with R&D;, Production, Quality and Stores for component requirements and specifications.

- Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery and responsiveness.

- Evaluate and onboard vendors based on quality, cost, capacity and reliability.

- Maintain approved vendor lists and vendor documentation.

- Track purchase orders and ensure timely material delivery.

- Resolve issues related to short supply, quality rejection, delayed delivery and component replacement.

- Monitor market trends, component availability and price fluctuations.

- Develop local and international sources for electronic components.

- Maintain proper procurement records, MIS and supplier performance reports.

- Preferred Skills

- Strong knowledge of electronic and electrical components.

- Experience in vendor development, sourcing and procurement.





- Good negotiation and supplier management skills.

- Ability to understand BOM, datasheets, part numbers and technical specifications.

- Knowledge of ERP/Purchase Management Software.

- Valuable communication and follow-up skills.

- Experience in an electronics manufacturing / industrial automation / electrical products company will be preferred.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics &
- Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering

- Diploma holders with relevant procurement/vendor development experience can also be considered.
