- MS / DNB Ophthalmology
- Fellowship in Vitreoretina from a reputed institute
- Valid NMC / Maharashtra Medical Council Registration
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years of independent post-fellowship surgical experience
- Strong experience in Medical & Surgical Retina
- Candidates comfortable managing high surgical volumes preferred
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive Retina OPD consultations and evaluations
- Diagnose and manage medical retinal conditions
- Independently perform vitreoretinal and retinal surgical procedures as per expertise
- Manage cataract-related retinal complications, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular disorders and other vitreoretinal conditions
- Perform appropriate retinal procedures and interventions as per clinical expertise
- Conduct pre-operative assessment and provide post-operative follow-up care
- Manage emergency retinal cases and provide timely surgical intervention
- Review and interpret relevant ophthalmic investigations and imaging
- Counsel patients regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgery, risks and follow-up
- Maintain accurate clinical, surgical and patient records
- Coordinate with ophthalmologists, optometrists and other specialists
- Ensure adherence to OT, infection-control and patient-safety protocols
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Robust command over Medical & Surgical Retina
- Excellent vitreoretinal surgical skills
- Ability to independently manage high surgical volumes
- Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
- Good patient counselling and communication
- Ability to work across multiple centres under a rotational practice model
