We are looking for a Junior Python & Linux Security Engineer Intern to join our cloud platform team. This 6-month unpaid internship is ideal for candidates who want hands-on experience in Linux, Python, Cyber Security, and DevSecOps while working alongside senior engineers on a production-grade cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in securing Linux servers by managing users, groups, file permissions, and access controls.
- Support the development of secure Python applications following secure coding practices.
- Maintain and improve Bash scripts while ensuring protected command execution.
- Help implement secure communication using HTTPS, TLS, and WebSockets (WSS).
- Assist in configuring Nginx, firewalls (UFW/iptables), and basic network security.
- Support vulnerability assessments, security testing, and technical documentation.
- Learn and assist with virtualization technologies such as KVM/QEMU.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Linux, Python, and Shell Scripting.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH).
- Familiarity with Git and command-line tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning mindset.
Eligibility
- B.E./B.Tech/MCA (Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or related field).
- Freshers or candidates with internship/project experience are encouraged to apply.
