Job Summary

We are looking for a UG NX Design Engineer with experience in connector design and knowledge of plastics, metals, tooling, and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with UG NX, GD&T;, tolerance stack-up, and Teamcenter.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop automotive/electrical connector components using UG NX.
- Create and modify 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
- Apply GD&T; and tolerance stack-up principles in product design.
- Work with thermoplastics, elastomers, metals, and plating materials.
- Understand and support manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, stamping, plating, and assembly.
- Work with tooling teams on plastic injection molding tools, sheet metal/stamping tools, and connector assembly tools.
- Use Teamcenter for product data management, drawings, revisions, and documentation.
- Review and work according to connector test specifications and OEM requirements.
- Participate in FMEA, DRBFM, Focus Matrix, and design review activities.




- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, tooling, quality, and other engineering teams.
- Identify design issues and support implementation of appropriate design improvements.

Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with UG NX / Unigraphics.
- Experience in Connector Design.
- Valuable knowledge of GD&T; and Tolerance Stack-up.
- Experience with Teamcenter.
- Understanding of manufacturing and tooling processes.
- Knowledge of plastic and metal component design.

Preferred Skills
- Automotive connector design experience.
- Plastic injection molding and tooling.
- Sheet metal forming and stamping.
- Thermoplastics and elastomers.
- Plating and connector assembly.
- OEM specifications / connector test specifications.
- FMEA and DRBFM experience.

Candidate Requirements
- 3–6 years of relevant experience.
- Candidates who can join immediately are preferred.
- Willingness to work from Bangalore.
