Senior Performance Test Engineer / Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Performance Test Engineer / Lead with over 8 years of experience in software testing, specializing in performance testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance testing methodologies and tools, with a proven track record of designing and executing performance tests for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end business flows.

Responsibilities

- Design and execute performance tests including Load, Stress, Endurance, Volume, and Failover testing.
- Develop performance test strategies, workload modeling, test planning, and estimation.
- Conduct performance test scripting, execution, monitoring, and results analysis.
- Identify performance bottlenecks across application, API, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Utilize monitoring/APM tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, Splunk, and Aternity/Riverbed for performance analysis.
- Analyze production data to define appropriate TPS, workload, and test scenarios.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding performance reporting, issue tracking, and risk management.




- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure performance testing aligns with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Mandatory Skills

- 8+ years of experience in Software Testing with a strong focus on Performance Testing.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and Micro Focus Performance Center.
- Proficiency in Python and Locust scripting.
- Strong skills in performance test scripting, execution, monitoring, and results analysis.
- Experience in performance testing of Web Applications, APIs, and end-to-end business flows.
- Experience in identifying performance bottlenecks across various layers.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA processes.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Banking, Payments, Financial Services, or Insurance domains.
- Familiarity with monitoring/APM tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Current Relic, Splunk, and Aternity/Riverbed.
- Experience in stakeholder communication, performance reporting, issue tracking, and risk management.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
