Role Description The Team Member – Compounding role is a full time, on-site position based at Lakshmi Life Sciences Private Limited – Plastics Division in Coimbatore. This role involves operating and monitoring compounding equipment for plastic materials, following production plans, and ensuring proper mixing, coloring, and additive incorporation according to specifications. The team member will handle raw materials, maintain accurate production records, and perform basic quality checks on compounded materials.
Responsibilities also include adhering to safety and cleanliness standards, supporting preventive maintenance activities, and coordinating with supervisors and quality teams to achieve daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of plastics processing and compounding operations, including handling raw materials and using compounding machinery.
- Basic understanding of quality control practices, such as visual inspection, measurement checks, and adherence to process parameters.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, production instructions, and safety guidelines consistently.
- Comfort working in a manufacturing environment, with readiness for shift-based work and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn and follow technical instructions.
- Good teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with operators, technicians, and supervisors.
- Prior experience in plastics manufacturing, injection molding, or compounding is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Relevant vocational training, diploma, or secondary education in engineering, plastics technology, or a related field is preferred.
