Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer with 7+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, managing and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure environments.

The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable and highly available Azure infrastructure, supporting application teams, implementing infrastructure automation, monitoring production environments and following enterprise cloud and security standards.

The role requires strong collaboration with application development, DevOps, security, architecture and support teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Infrastructure : Design, deploy and manage Azure infrastructure across development, staging and production environments.

Work with Azure services including:

- Azure Virtual Machines
- Virtual Networks (VNet)
- Subnets
- NSG
- Azure Load Balancer
- Application Gateway
- Azure Firewall
- Azure Storage
- Azure Key Vault
- Azure Monitor
- Azure DNS
- Azure App Services

Implement highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions. Configure and manage Azure networking, connectivity and security components.

Perform infrastructure troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for production issues.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or ARM/Bicep.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration and operational activities.

Develop scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI and/or Python.

Implement reusable infrastructure modules and follow enterprise automation standards.

Azure DevOps / CI-CD

Work with Azure DevOps pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.

Integrate infrastructure provisioning with CI/CD pipelines.

Implement deployment automation and environment configuration management.

Support release management and production deployments.

Security & Governance

Implement Azure security best practices and enterprise cloud standards.

Manage Azure RBAC,



Managed Identities, Key Vault and access policies.

Work with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and compliance findings.

Ensure infrastructure configurations follow organizational security and governance standards.

Implement appropriate network segmentation and access controls.

Monitoring & Reliability

Configure and monitor Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights.

Develop dashboards, alerts and monitoring solutions.

Analyse infrastructure performance, availability and capacity.

Participate in production incident management and problem management.

Conduct RCA and implement preventive measures for recurring infrastructure issues.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

Implement Azure backup and recovery solutions.

Support disaster recovery planning and testing.

Configure and maintain Azure Site Recovery where applicable.

Participate in business continuity and DR exercises.

Cost Optimization

Monitor Azure infrastructure utilisation and cloud spending.

Identify opportunities for resource optimisation.

Implement appropriate sizing, scaling and lifecycle management.

Support FinOps initiatives and cloud cost optimisation.

Must Have

7+ years of experience in Infrastructure / Cloud Engineering.

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.

Strong knowledge of Azure networking and infrastructure services.

Experience with Azure VMs, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Storage and Key Vault.

Strong experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.

Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Good scripting experience using PowerShell, Azure CLI or Python.





Experience with Azure monitoring and troubleshooting.

Good understanding of cloud security, IAM and RBAC.

Experience supporting production environments.

Good to Have

Azure certifications such as

AZ-104 - Azure Administrator Associate

AZ-305 - Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Kubernetes / AKS experience.

Docker/containerisation knowledge.

Azure Landing Zone experience.

Experience with Azure Policy and Management Groups.

Experience with Microsoft Entra ID.

Experience with Sentinel or cloud security platforms.

Experience with FinOps and Azure cost optimisation.

Experience working in regulated environments such as FinTech / Banking / Insurance.

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
