Role Description The Team Lead role at AccSource is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Team

Lead is responsible for supervising a team of accounting and support professionals, overseeing daily workflows, and ensuring tasks are completed accurately, on time, and in line with client expectations and internal quality standards. This role involves allocating work, monitoring performance, reviewing outputs, and providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members.

Lead collaborates closely with clients and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and maintain transparent communication on project status and deliverables. Additional responsibilities include supporting process improvements, maintaining data security and compliance, preparing periodic reports, and contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

- Strong team leadership and people management skills, including mentoring, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in accounting and finance processes such as bookkeeping, tax compliance, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Experience with business process outsourcing operations, workflow management, and service delivery in a client-focused workplace.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and quality control in reviewing team outputs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Comfort with using cloud-based tools, workflow portals, and secure data environments, with a strong focus on information security.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing client requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; professional accounting certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role within accounting, shared services, or BPO environments is preferred.
