Role & responsibilities
We are seeking an authentic, compassionate, and deeply values-aligned Educator to teach Value Education to children aged 7 to 15. This role operates across our partner schools and orphanages. The primary requirement for this position is not just the ability to teach ethical principles, but to practise and embody these values in your personal life.
You will serve as a foundational role model, guiding children from diverse backgrounds to develop strong character, emotional resilience, and moral integrity.
Core Responsibilities
- Value-Based Instruction: Deliver engaging, age-appropriate Value Education lessons tailored to children aged 7 to15, adapting your approach to fit both traditional school classrooms and orphanage settings.
- Personal Modeling: Consistently demonstrate and practice the organizations core values in your daily behavior, speech, and interactions.
- Character Development: Mentor children in empathy, honesty, respect, emotional regulation, and social responsibility using creative storytelling, interactive activities, and group discussions.
- Trauma-Informed Care: Provide a safe, nurturing, and emotionally supportive workplace, showing deep sensitivity to the unique emotional and psychological needs of children living in orphanages.
- Partner Collaboration: Coordinate regularly with school administrators,
orphanage supervisors, and our core team to align educational objectives and evaluate student growth.
- Progress Tracking: Document qualitative milestones in the children's behavioral improvements and character development.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Personal Integrity: Strong personal commitment to living a life rooted in ethics and values; absolute values-alignment with our organization's rules.
- Teaching Experience: Minimum of years of experience teaching children, ideally in moral education, life skills, counseling, or youth mentorship.
- Adaptability & Empathy: Ability to connect with children from vastly different socioeconomic backgrounds and emotional realities.
- Creative Pedagogy: Skilled in using non-traditional teaching methods like drama, games, storytelling, and reflective exercises to keep children engaged.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and emotional communication skills, with a patient and calm demeanor.
