LAXAI Life Sciences is hiring passionate and talented chemists to join its Synthesis R&D; Department. The role offers an opportunity to work on multi-step organic synthesis, reaction optimization, analytical characterization, and project execution as part of a global team.

The successful candidate will contribute to solving real-world chemistry problems while supporting research projects from synthesis and optimization through purification, characterization, documentation, and timely delivery.

What You’ll Work On

Multi-Step Organic Synthesis

Plan and execute multi-step organic synthesis and optimize reaction conditions to achieve project objectives.

Analytical Data Interpretation

Interpret analytical data from NMR, LC-MS, HPLC, and IR and use the results to propose appropriate structural assignments.

Reaction Optimization

Develop and optimize reaction conditions while troubleshooting synthetic challenges and handling specialized reactions when required.

Purification & Characterization

Perform purification using column chromatography, preparative HPLC, and crystallization to obtain high-quality compounds.

R&D; Project Execution

Work according to project timelines and deliverables while communicating progress and analytical results to supervisors or project managers.

Your Role

The appointed researcher will be responsible for:

- Planning and executing multi-step organic synthesis.
- Optimizing reaction conditions for synthetic projects.
- Interpreting analytical data from NMR, LC-MS, HPLC, and IR.
- Proposing structural assignments based on analytical results.
- Maintaining accurate records in ELN and laboratory notebooks.
- Following data integrity guidelines and maintaining proper experimental documentation.
- Managing project timelines and delivering results according to client expectations.
- Collaborating with team members and communicating daily project progress.
- Handling moisture-sensitive and air-sensitive reactions when required.
- Supporting scale-up reactions as needed.
- Following laboratory safety protocols, SOPs, and appropriate PPE requirements.
- Troubleshooting synthetic procedures and purification challenges.




- Performing purification through column chromatography, prep-HPLC, and crystallization.
- Ensuring timely submission of analytical results, reports, and weekly updates.
- Supporting procurement and inventory management.
- Coordinating with analytical teams to ensure smooth project execution.

- Hands-on experience with multi-step organic synthesis.
- Strong understanding of organic chemistry and synthetic methodologies.
- Experience with reaction optimization and troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret NMR, LC-MS, HPLC, and IR data.
- Experience with purification techniques such as column chromatography, prep-HPLC, and crystallization.
- Ability to maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Understanding of laboratory safety protocols and SOPs.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
