Overview

We are looking for an experienced Azure Subject Matter Expert / Azure Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Azure IaaS, infrastructure administration, networking, security, automation, and hybrid cloud environments. The candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, optimizing, and implementing Azure cloud infrastructure while providing L2+/SME-level technical support.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, Identity & Access Management, Monitoring, Disaster Recovery, DevOps, Terraform, PowerShell/Azure CLI, and on-premises virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Key Skills & Expertise:

- Strong hands-on experience in Azure Administration and Azure IaaS
- Expertise in Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Managed Disks and Blob Storage
- Solid knowledge of Azure Networking – VNets, Subnets, NSGs, Routing, VPN, DNS, Firewalls and Hybrid Connectivity
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, MFA and Identity Management
- Strong experience in Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Azure Alerts
- Hands-on experience with PowerShell and Azure CLI for automation and administration
- Good understanding of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of VMware / Hyper-V and Windows Server administration
- Experience with Azure Migration, Backup, Disaster Recovery and Failover
- Understanding of Azure Well-Architected Framework, reliability and operational excellence




- Experience in cloud resource optimization and cost management
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex Azure environments

Responsibilities: Include but not limited to:
- Manage, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in the Azure cloud environment.
- Provide L2+/SME-level technical support for Azure infrastructure and services.
- Design, implement and maintain scalable, secure and highly available Azure solutions.
- Provision, configure, resize and manage Windows and Linux Azure Virtual Machines.
- Manage Azure storage accounts, managed disks, Blob Storage, backup and archival solutions.
- Configure and manage VNets, subnets, NSGs, routing, VPNs, public/private IPs and DNS.
- Manage Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, MFA and access policies.
- Monitor Azure infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and other monitoring tools.
- Perform resource utilization analysis and implement Azure cost optimization initiatives.
- Develop and troubleshoot automation scripts using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Support Azure infrastructure migration, upgrades and transformation projects.
- Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Work closely with L1/L2 teams,



application teams and vendors for incident resolution and service improvement.
- Perform root cause analysis and provide permanent solutions for recurring infrastructure issues.
- Ensure Azure infrastructure complies with security, governance and organizational standards.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, architecture diagrams and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure services with existing on-premises infrastructure.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure services, cloud technologies and industry best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior engineers and support teams.

Job Requirements:
- 7+ years of overall IT infrastructure / cloud experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Azure Administration
- Proven experience in Azure IaaS and hybrid cloud environments
- Strong knowledge of Azure Compute, Storage, Networking and Security
- Experience with PowerShell / Azure CLI
- Good understanding of Terraform / IaC
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Git
- Knowledge of VMware or Hyper-V
- Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and DNS knowledge
- Experience in Azure migration, backup and disaster recovery
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification preferred
