Role Description The Steel Detailer is responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings and erection plans for structural steel projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. In this full-time, on-site role based in Hosur, the Steel Detailer will interpret architectural and structural drawings, coordinate with engineers, and clarify design requirements as needed.

Day-to-day tasks include developing accurate 2D/3D models, creating and revising fabrication and assembly drawings, and detailing connections and rebar where applicable. The role also involves reviewing drawings for quality and completeness,



maintaining documentation and revision records, and collaborating with project teams to meet schedule and quality expectations.

Qualifications

- Robust proficiency in steel detailing and steel structures, with the ability to read and interpret relevant codes and standards.
- Experience preparing shop drawings, including fabrication, erection, and assembly details.
- Ability to work with architectural drawings and structural layouts to produce coordinated steel detailing models.
- Knowledge of rebar detailing and reinforcement practices for structural elements is an advantage.
- Proficiency with industry-standard CAD or 3D modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar software).
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify and resolve design and coordination issues.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams.
- Diploma or degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in steel detailing.
