To ensure goods are distributed as per minimum inventory levels and forecast consumption to all locations at SKU level and ensure OTIF and Inventory targets are met
Roles and Responsibility:
- Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
- Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
- Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
- Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
- Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
- Analyze data to anticipate future needs
- Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
- Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
- Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
- Design methods to avoid the occurrence of products getting into Nonmoving Category by having frequent meetings with required stakeholders.
- For non and slow-moving inventory coordinate with all stake holders and find ways to liquidate it.
- Should do all sort of analysis related to inventory management- SLOB analysis, Inventory norm governance (Cyclic stock, safety stock etc.)
Role Specific Competencies:
- 5 - 9 Yrs of Exp in Manufacturing Setup.
- Bachelor's degree with Engineering or Postgraduate in Management studies (preferably from NITIE, IIM, SP Jain) tier 1 institutes.
- Valuable understanding of S&OP; processes, statistics, supply chain business drivers, Inventory management, production operations and processes and ERP systems
- Manage team in terms of goal setting, delivery, performance, development, and engagement
- Order fill rate
- Track signals
- Inventory vs budget
- Distribution plan adherence
- Freight cost per kg vs budget to minimize non planned movements
