About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Master Mariner or Chief Engineer to join a Learning & Development team as a Sr. Manager – L&D; (Trainer).

The ideal candidate will have strong marine industry experience and, preferably, an Oil/Chemical Tanker background. Candidates with prior training experience, either onboard or ashore, will be preferred; however, training experience is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and deliver technical, operational, safety, and competency-based training programmes.
- Conduct training sessions for marine professionals and seafarers.
- Identify training and development needs and recommend suitable learning interventions.
- Develop and update training materials, presentations, and learning modules.
- Assess training effectiveness and participant performance.
- Coordinate with internal teams, seafarers,



and maritime stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of the organisation's L&D; initiatives.
- Ensure training programmes are aligned with applicable maritime regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

- Master Mariner or Chief Engineer qualification.
- Strong experience in the maritime/shipping industry.
- Oil/Chemical Tanker experience preferred.
- Prior training experience onboard or ashore will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Solid technical understanding of vessel operations, safety, and maritime practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder-management abilities.
- A genuine interest in training, mentoring, and developing marine professionals.
