What makes the role meaty?
- Act as a trusted, neutral analytics partner to senior leaders, translating complex data into clear insights and actions that drive business outcomes.
- Bring an independent, fact-based perspective to important business decisions and challenge assumptions when the data says otherwise.
- Identify the biggest opportunities and problems across growth, customer, marketing, supply chain and operations.
- Establish and maintain clear, standardized and unbiased business metrics across functions, building a strong culture of “one version of the truth.”
- Work closely with functional leaders to identify growth levers, improve unit economics and unlock operational efficiencies.
- Build self-serve analytical frameworks that enable teams to make faster, better decisions independently.
- Take on hard, ambiguous problems that don't have obvious answers and conduct deep-dive diagnostics to identify the real drivers behind business performance.
- Turn analysis into clear recommendations, drive alignment and stay close to execution until the impact is delivered.
- Build an AI-first analytics function, using AI to improve the speed, depth and quality of analysis, automation, insight generation and problem solving.
- Own the analytical data ecosystem in partnership with Data Platform/Data Engineering teams, ensuring reliable, scalable and high-quality data pipelines.
- Build robust analytical frameworks,
experimentation and measurement systems, and dashboards that enable the business to move faster.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of BAs/SBAs, raising the bar on problem solving, analytical rigor, business understanding and ownership.
- Build a team that proactively identifies problems and opportunities rather than waiting for business teams to ask for reports.
