About The Role

As a C Programmer at Gainwell Technologies, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining batch processing systems that support healthcare data workflows. Your primary responsibility will involve working on full life cycle development activities for creating reliable and efficient services that handle large volumes of data. You will focus on batch development projects, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance, without direct access to sensitive health information such as Protected Health Information (PHI) or Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

This role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment. You will contribute to the technical decision-making process and influence the development of enterprise-level solutions, supporting the company's mission to deliver innovative healthcare technology solutions.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background and extensive experience in relevant technical domains.



A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred, along with a proven track record of working with technical products, vendors, and diverse technology stacks. Candidates should have experience with product configurations and familiarity with software packages relevant to the healthcare and data processing industries.

Additionally, a deep understanding of database management and scripting is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, debug, and document batch processing programs using C, Unix/Linux systems, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Gather system information, analyze program requirements, and prepare documentation for modifications and enhancements.
- Research and analyze existing systems and program requirements under periodic supervision to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Create detailed specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Assist in resolving technical issues and defects, proposing alternative solutions to improve system reliability and performance.
- Develop comprehensive test plans to verify the logic and functionality of new or modified programs, identifying and documenting issues as needed.
- Maintain thorough technical documentation, including program code, design documents, and process workflows.




- Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews to uphold coding standards and best practices.
- Implement and automate batch jobs, including notification services, to streamline operational workflows.
- Perform complex SQL query tuning and optimization to enhance database performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project requirements, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by researching new technologies and methodologies relevant to batch processing and data management.
