About The Role We are seeking a Decline Curve Analyst to support production forecasting, reservoir performance evaluation, and reserves analysis for oil and gas assets. The role focuses on Decline Curve Analysis (DCA), Whitson, Aries, production forecasting, and EUR estimation , providing data-driven insights for field planning, reserves evaluation, and business decisions. The analyst will collaborate with reservoir engineers, production engineers, asset teams, and business stakeholders.

The role involves analyzing historical oil, gas, and water production data and applying industry-standard decline curve methodologies, including Arps decline models . The analyst will develop well, pad, field, and asset-level forecasts, calculate Estimated Ultimate Recovery (EUR), evaluate remaining reserves, and assess well performance.

The position requires hands-on use of Whitson as the primary tool for decline curve fitting, forecasting, batch processing, and EUR calculations, with Aries used for production forecasting, reserves evaluation, and economic forecasting. The analyst will also validate production datasets, identify data-quality issues, and maintain forecasting parameters and datasets.

The candidate will prepare technical reports, dashboards, parameter tables, and forecasting documentation, while presenting results to engineering and management teams. The role also supports reserves reporting, annual planning, business planning, budgeting, asset valuation, and technical forecasting reviews.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform Decline Curve Analysis (DCA) for oil, gas, and water production.
- Generate production forecasts at well, pad, field, and asset levels.
- Calculate EUR and remaining reserves and support reserves evaluation.
- Develop type curves, conduct analog well analysis, and evaluate well performance trends.
- Use Whitson for decline curve fitting, forecast generation, batch processing, and EUR calculations.




- Use Aries for production forecasting, reserves evaluation, and economic forecasting.
- Extract, validate, and analyze production, pressure, and well metadata from enterprise databases.
- Prepare technical reports, dashboards, visualizations, and forecasting recommendations for stakeholders.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have experience in production forecasting, reserves evaluation, or reservoir engineering analysis , with strong hands-on expertise in DCA, Whitson, Aries, EUR estimation, and oil and gas production data analysis. A bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline is required, along with strong analytical, reporting, data-management, and stakeholder communication skills.
