Role Description The Special Education Teacher is a full-time, in office role based in Gurugram. This role involves designing and implementing individualized education and development plans for children with diverse learning needs and disabilities, aligned with family goals and best practices in special education.
The teacher will conduct assessments, prepare lesson plans, adapt instructional materials, and deliver engaging, structured sessions in collaboration with caregivers and other professionals. Daily responsibilities include monitoring progress, maintaining detailed records, providing regular feedback to families,
and coordinating with therapists and care coordinators for integrated support. The role also includes fostering inclusive learning environments, developing communication and social skills, and participating in training and team meetings to continuously improve care quality.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Special Education and working with learners with Disabilities, including diverse learning and developmental needs.
- Demonstrated Teaching experience, preferably with Middle School or similar age groups, with a focus on individualized instruction.
- Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and multidisciplinary care teams.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience creating and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or similar personalized learning plans.
- Ability to small-group settings, using behavior management and positive reinforcement strategies.
- Comfort working in home-based or community-based settings and adapting to family routines and environments.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
- Previous experience in inclusive education, developmental support, or working with neurodivergent learners is preferred.
