The role of Solidworks AE (Governance)involves working closely with customers to implement, support, and optimize PDM/PLM capabilities. We need to give detailed presentation to the decision makers which will enhance their overall productivity using our solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Support

- Implement and configure PDM/PLM solutions based on customer requirements
- Support deployment, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Ensure smooth user adoption and system stabilization

Governance & Process Setup

- Define and enforce data management standards, workflows, and access controls
- Establish revision control, document lifecycle, and approval processes
- Drive best practices for CAD data management and collaboration

Customer Engagement & Training

- Conduct user training sessions and workshops
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on PLM governance
- Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations

Integration & Collaboration

- Work with CAD tools (e.g., SOLIDWORKS) and enterprise systems (ERP integrations where applicable)
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, pre-sales, support)

Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare implementation documents, SOPs, and user guides
- Track project progress, issues, and resolution status

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in PDM / PLM domain
- Hands-on experience in tools like PTC Windchill / Siemens Teamcenter (or similar)

- Strong understanding of PDM/PLM concepts (BOM, workflows, version control, lifecycle management)
- Knowledge of CAD data management (preferably SOLIDWORKS ecosystem)
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to handle customer interactions independently
- Solid communication and training capability

- Experience in ERP integration with PLM systems
- Exposure to process consulting / governance frameworks

- Certification in PDM/PLM tools
