Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Solar Technician role based in Coimbatore.
The Solar
Technician will install, commission, and maintain solar power systems and related products, including inverters, solar PCUs, charge controllers, and automated solar solutions. Daily responsibilities include conducting site assessments, wiring and mounting solar components, performing routine inspections, and ensuring protected and efficient operation of solar installations. The role involves diagnosing faults,
troubleshooting system issues, and executing repairs or replacements in coordination with engineering and manufacturing teams.
The Solar
Technician will document work performed, adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements, and provide basic technical support and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of solar systems and solar power, with practical experience in installation, operation, or maintenance of solar equipment.
- Familiarity with the solar industry and power generation concepts, including grid-tied and off-grid solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing electrical and solar system issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, and safety practices related to low- and medium-voltage systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in electrical, electronics, or renewable energy engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
- Comfort working on rooftops and outdoor sites, with adherence to all safety and PPE requirements.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and customer support teams.
- Willingness to travel locally or regionally for site visits and installations as needed.
