Job Summary Software Engineer III – Data Services The Standard is seeking a Software Engineer III – Data Services to design, build, and support scalable data-driven applications, APIs, and platform services that enable enterprise analytics, operational reporting, and data product delivery.

In this role, you will develop and maintain backend services, REST APIs, web portals, and integration solutions using Python, .NET, and cloud-native technologies . You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Platform Engineers, Architects, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions that support enterprise data and analytics initiatives.

As a Software Engineer III, you will contribute across the software development lifecycle, including application development, API engineering, cloud deployment, platform automation, and CI/CD implementation. You will help establish engineering best practices, improve software delivery processes, and drive modernization initiatives using Azure cloud technologies.

- Ability to work in office in Bengaluru, India is a requirement of the role.

Mode of Working: This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on-site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and support enterprise-grade APIs, backend services, and web applications.
- Build reusable and scalable services using Python, .NET, and modern API frameworks.
- Develop secure RESTful APIs and service integrations supporting enterprise data products and business applications.
- Create and maintain customer-facing and internal web portals using modern web development frameworks.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to integrate analytical data products, data pipelines, and operational services.
- Implement authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring,



and security best practices across applications and APIs.
- Design and optimize integrations with SQL and NoSQL data platforms.
- Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to application modernization initiatives.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Deploy and manage applications on Azure using infrastructure-as-code and automation principles.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement continuous improvements to system reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Participate in Agile delivery ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and execution.

Skills And Background You’ll Need Education: B.E. / B.Tech. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems is required.

Experience

- Typically requires 5+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise applications and services.
- Solid experience developing applications and services using Python and .NET/C#.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend integration services.
- Experience developing web-based portals or business applications using modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Blazor, or equivalent).
- Robust understanding of API design principles, service-oriented architecture, and integration patterns.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, MongoDB, or similar platforms.
- Experience deploying and managing solutions within Microsoft Azure.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent DevOps platforms.
- Experience with Azure services such as App Services, Functions, API Management, Key Vault, Event Hub, Service Bus, and Azure Storage.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with source control management using Git-based repositories.
- Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and API management solutions.
- Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery models.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience developing enterprise data services supporting analytics and reporting platforms.




- Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka, Azure Event Hub, or messaging platforms.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Familiarity with observability tools including Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus, or Azure Monitor.
- Experience supporting cloud-native platform modernization initiatives.
- Good to have Microsoft Certifications - AZ-204, AZ-400
