Role Description This is a full-time remote Software Engineer role focused on building and improving iBloom’s AI-powered learning platform.

The Software

Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that support personalized learning experiences and data-driven insights.

Responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing system performance, ensuring reliability and security, and collaborating with product, design, and data teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The role also involves writing clean, maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices.

Engineer will be expected to work independently, communicate effectively in a distributed environment, and continuously improve the platform based on user feedback and educational needs.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, and systems design.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in one or more modern languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, or similar).
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and working with databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices for clean, maintainable code.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cooperative development workflows.
- Ability to analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and troubleshoot complex issues in a remote, cross-functional team setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in edtech and AI-driven learning, and motivation to build inclusive, impactful products for diverse learners.
