Role Description

We are looking for an experienced SOC Manager with 4-5 years of experience in security operations to lead our Security Operations Center function. The role involves managing day-to-day SOC operations, leading a team of analysts, overseeing incident detection and response, and acting as the primary escalation point for security incidents across client environments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring 24x7 monitoring and coverage.
- Supervise, mentor, and manage the performance of SOC analysts (L1/L2/L3) and ensure adherence to SLAs.
- Oversee triage, investigation, and response for security alerts and incidents escalated from SIEM and other monitoring tools.
- Act as the primary escalation point for critical and high-severity security incidents, coordinating response and remediation efforts.
- Define, review, and continuously improve SOC processes, playbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor and fine-tune SIEM use cases, correlation rules, and alerting thresholds to reduce false positives.
- Drive incident response activities, including containment, eradication,



and post-incident root cause analysis.
- Prepare and present SOC performance metrics, incident reports, and trend analysis to leadership and clients.
- Coordinate with threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and IT teams for a holistic security posture.
- Ensure SOC operations align with relevant compliance and regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, RBI, etc.).
- Support audits, client reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives for the SOC function.
- Stay current on emerging threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices to guide SOC strategy.

Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar.
- Strong understanding of the incident response lifecycle, threat hunting, and forensics fundamentals.
- Familiarity with EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security tools.
- Working knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK; framework and common attack vectors/TTPs.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, log analysis, and security monitoring across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Experience managing shift rosters, escalation matrices, and SLA-driven SOC operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of overall experience in security operations, threat monitoring, or incident response, including prior experience leading or mentoring a SOC team.
- Strong understanding of SIEM operations, threat detection, and incident response lifecycle.

Certifications (Preferred)

- CISSP / CISM
- GIAC certifications (GCIH, GCIA, or similar)
- CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
- Any other relevant or equivalent certifications will also be considered valuable.

Collaboration and Communication

- Work closely with client stakeholders, leadership, and cross-functional teams to align SOC operations with business needs.
- Communicate incident status, risk, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills in a quick-paced environment.
